At PetBreed Plan, we take your privacy seriously. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data when you use our breeding and pet planning tools.

Data Storage Philosophy

Your data stays on your device. PetBreed Plan is built with privacy-first principles:

• All breeding records, pregnancy tracking, heat cycle data, and cost calculations are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB
• We do not have servers that store your personal breeding or pet data
• We cannot access your saved pregnancies, litter records, or any other information you track
• Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export and share it

What Data We Collect

Analytics Data (Anonymous)

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This data is anonymous and includes:

• Pages visited
• Time spent on site
• Browser type and device information
• Geographic location (country/region level only)
• Referral source (how you found us)

Important: Analytics data does NOT include your breeding records, pregnancy data, heat cycle information, cost calculations, or any personal pet/breeder information you enter into our tools.

No Personal Identifiable Information (PII)

We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Breeding facility names or locations
• Specific pet names or identifying information
• Payment information (we have no paid features)
• Account credentials (we have no user accounts)

Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser storage technologies for essential functionality:

• IndexedDB: Stores your breeding records, pregnancy tracking data, heat cycle history, litter records, and other tool data locally on your device
• localStorage: May store user preferences like theme settings or calculator defaults
• Analytics Cookies: Anonymous cookies from Ahrefs and Vercel for site usage statistics

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

The only third-party services we use are:

• Ahrefs Web Analytics: Anonymous website traffic analysis
• Vercel Analytics: Anonymous performance monitoring
• Google AdSense: Advertising services (uses cookies for ad personalization, which you can opt out of)

None of these services receive your breeding or pet planning data.

Your Data Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Export: You can export all your data as JSON files from your dashboard
• Delete: You can delete individual records or clear all data from your browser settings
• Transfer: You can move your data between devices by exporting and importing JSON files
• Retention: Data stays until you delete it or clear your browser storage

Children's Privacy

PetBreed Plan is intended for use by adults (18+) involved in responsible breeding or pet ownership planning. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Security

Since your data is stored locally on your device:

• Use strong device passwords/biometrics
• Keep your browser and operating system updated
• Be cautious when exporting data files (they contain your records in plain text)
• Don't share your device with untrusted users if you have sensitive breeding records

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Significant changes will be highlighted on our homepage.
